Bassem is currently working with us at CAA Portas as a Global Staffing Manager, supporting staffing operations across the Middle East and globally. He has experience managing consultant rotations, talent development, and strategic resource planning. Previously, he led staffing for public sector and media practices at a top-tier consulting firm. He holds a Tourism degree and is pursuing an MBA.

Bassem Barghout is a Global Staffing Manager working with us at CAA Portas, currently serving the Middle East and global regions. He is overseeing consultant staffing, rotation planning, and operational coordination across diverse practices and geographies. His previous work has included managing the rotation of consultants to ensure exposure to varied industries and roles, supporting their development and alignment with strategic client needs.
Prior to joining us, Bassem worked for over five years at a leading management consulting firm. There, he led staffing and operations for the public sector, media, and strategic operations practices. His work focused on improving resource utilisation, streamlining staffing processes, and supporting talent development initiatives.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Bassem has a background in fitness and personal training. He holds an ISSA Level 3 certification and a nutrition qualification, and he has competed in CrossFit events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he coached clients as a way to support the community.
Academically, Bassem earned a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Alexandria University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Gies College of Business). He is also working towards a PMP certification.
