Mohamad Rachid is a Senior Project Manager at CAA Portas, specialising in developing sports transformation and turnaround strategies with experience in socio-economic impact modeling. Throughout his time at the company, he has led key initiatives in city sport strategies, transformations of federations and private entities, event feasibility planning and cultural sports development. Mohamad is passionate about motorsport and enjoys racket sports recreationally.

Mohamad Rachid is currently a Senior Project Manager at CAA Portas, where he is primarily developing transformation strategies for national governing bodies in sport in the Arabian Gulf. He has been providing internal expertise on socio-economic impact modeling and has a strong focus on animal and cultural sports.

Mohamad has been involved in various strategic projects, including leading on the turnaround strategy of a motorsport promoter and operator, the transformation of sport federations to grow participation and nurture talent, and feasibility assessments and economic impact modeling for major sports events and assets. He has also worked on cultural sport integration strategies for GCC cities, developed 5-year and 10-year strategies with funding and management models for federations and ministries, and created privatization strategies for state-owned sports facilities to increase utilization rates. 

Before joining the company, Mohamad gained international experience in the motorsport, aerospace, automotive, and engineering-design industries. He holds an Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. During his studies, he was elected as the student regional chair of the Middle East and Africa for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Mohamad has a passion for motorsport and achieved a podium finish in the Dubai Corporate Games in karting. He is also actively participating in racket sports, including padel tennis and pickleball. Mohamad is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
